NAGA CITY, 18 AUG 2026 – The City Government of Naga, in partnership with Smart Cities, a subsidiary unit of Easybus PH, officially launches MyNaga 2.0 with new features to further enhance access to government services and transparency for Nagueños.
Announced in Balatas, Naga City, the update launch coincided with the reveal of Naga Next, an innovation convergence program designed to gather ideas from various Nagueños through Idea2Startup and the Naga City Mayoral Hackathon.
To highlight the role of community-level public service through utilizing the MyNaga App, the program honored the top-performing MyNaga Task Force Units, including the barangays Concepcion Pequeña, Tinago, and San Felipe.
Local government offices were also recognized as top Task Force Units for their efforts in handling citywide concerns through the MyNaga App, such as the Public Safety Office, General Services Office, Solid Waste Management Office, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, City Engineer’s Office, Lingkod Barangay Office, and City Veterinary Services.
New Features in the MyNaga App
The MyNaga 2.0 update introduces enhancements to the Transparency Page, giving Nagueños greater access to information and more opportunities to participate in local governance.
The People’s Budget Portal lets Nagueños access the city’s budgets and gain a better understanding of how public funds are allocated and handled.
Meanwhile, i-Engage allows citizens to view ordinances and share their sentiments about them, encouraging them to take part in good, participatory governance practices.
Additionally, users will be able to track the progress of their reports and service requests in real time.
Emphasizing that every citizen’s voice matters in achieving a better, safer, and more responsive city, the updated Report Issue Forms added more report categories to address the multitude of concerns in Naga City.
As part of the broader DiscipliNaga campaign, the initial implementation of its camera feature allows users to take photos of illegal parking incidents and submit direct reports through the app using its geotagging feature.
By giving citizens a way to report violations directly, DiscipliNaga encourages Nagueños to take an active role in building a cleaner, safer, and more orderly Naga City.
The Services Page, on the other hand, is now accessible through the bottom navigation bar, making it easier for users to access government services, view the specific document requirements for each e-request, and apply for government services in a simpler way.
For social welfare and daily conveniences of every citizen, Nagueños are now able to access a job portal in the MyNaga app to see job openings available around the city, as well as view their utility bills under CASURECO II and access payment options by redirecting the user to CASURECO II’s website.
Meanwhile, contact numbers of every barangay head in Naga City are now available to view directly in the MyNaga app through the Emergency Page so that residents will be able to get immediate assistance from the barangay level in case of emergencies.
To keep Nagueños connected with important announcements and advisories from the City Hall, the News section is moved to the top of the app’s main screen for better visibility.
Additionally, Event listings across Naga City now have a more detailed real-time display in the app that shows the event’s specific location and purpose.
Furthermore, grand events celebrated across the city, such as important holidays and festivals, will have their own dedicated banner in the Dashboard instead, which will feature important information regarding the grand event, including its history, unique traditions, and an overall guide on how to participate.
Going to these events or anywhere is also made easier with the Transport Hub in the app’s dashboard, where Nagueños can view different public vehicles available within the city for their commute.
In terms of local products, citizens will soon be able to purchase local delicacies and souvenirs from Naga City through the MyNaga Shop, introducing a digital avenue to boost local products and tourism.
MyNaga History and Milestones
The first version of MyNaga was launched on this day last year after it was shown as a preview during Mayor Leni Robredo’s inauguration on June 30, 2025.
Since then, Nagueños have used the app to send requests and concerns, which are the main features of the app that Mayor Robredo noted in her Facebook post on August 24, 2025.
This year, Mayor Robredo also showcased the app at the 10th ClickConEx last June 19 as an example of how digital technologies and good governance can collaborate to provide efficient services to Filipinos.
The MyNaga App helps in making local government services closer and more accessible to Nagueños by digitalizing transactions with the Naga City Hall, applications for financial or legal assistance on social welfare, and passing reports regarding city-wide issues.
It also features a job portal for citizens looking for summer employment, a list of public safety and emergency contacts, a news section of events and announcements from the city hall, and transparency reports of the local government’s projects.
Furthermore, it serves as a guide for tourists in Naga City because it exhibits an array of local cuisine, hotels, restaurants, and tour operators that can help with their experience within the city.
As of last month, the MyNaga app has more than 29,000 downloads on the Google Play Store and App Store, making it the largest citizen engagement platform in the Bicol Region with 27,585 active users.
Today, Mayor Robredo noted in the State of the City Report that through the app and in web messaging platforms, the City Government of Naga received more than 6,000 community complaints, which were resolved at an 84.2% success rate.
Meanwhile, 20 LGU services are now integrated in the MyNaga App to bring the City Hall closer to Nagueños.
“Our local government is becoming as accessible as a touch on your phone,” Robredo remarked.
